Ten flickr Vintage Illustration Accounts - and a Texture one

Nice interesting finds on flickr. Vintage illustrations, photos or typecase. You'll find the terms of use in the profile section of each account. Have some time to spear if you want to see these - it's addictive .

Depression Press' photostream is an account on flickr with a large collection of typecase, graphic and illustrations. Interesting retro logos and I think he has also a print shop for anyone interested.

 Gatochy has

a huge collection of ads, sorted in sets : 1850-1919, 1920, 1930, 1940-1950 etc, illustrations, covers, comics, postcards, music sheets and some author sets. Check-up the Aubrey Beardsley set. No, check up everything. Fabulous!!

Art&Vintage has a solid collection of images from American Magazine but also some from Harpers or Vogue. A few Waterhouse a Bouguereau, Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema. And good old golden age movies actresses: Bette Davis, Elisabeth Taylor, Mary Pickford, Louise brooks in her Vintage Spirit blog. Lots of .

Anne Anderson, Margaret Winifred Tarrant, Charles Folkard, Mabel Lucie Atwell, Mary Brooks. I'll pretend to have heard about ALL those children books Illustrators. Cinderella, SnowWhite, Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks... Flowers, dwarfs, fairies, bears and kitties... Wonderful children books scanned and published in flamenconut's photostream. The books are meant for children from 5 to 75. Less or more.

Another great collection!! (I think I'll miss my superlatives soon). Fashion, cooking, DIY, children, comics (pulp fiction!!), vinyls, even fabric - all very vintage. Ephemera, cards and wrapping and More... This is Miss Retro Modern's collection and you should read her humorous comments to lighten your journey .

A Christmas wish collection very well organized on years: from 1942 to 2009. All those generations making their wish-list, trying to be good for Santa, it's touching and dizzying the same time. You have children comics and books, trading cards, Barbie catalogs, Disney maps and toys, and vinyl covers. Christmas's coming soon...Wishbook on flickr.

A nice set of textures (wall, wood, rust, cracks and some paw marks) from Little Rosy Runabout.

TeenAge Living, Perusing magazines (576 images!!), cooking from jello, meat to booze and tupperware. Vintage from ads, magazines, ephemera and books. I love this title: Thrilled Hosewives and Cooks. Those were the days, my friend... Charm and Poise.

Senses Working Overtime has Illustrations and ads organized on decades. Lot of comics - some for children, some more spookie; also scifi; also some about Beatles. Vintage Ads from Punch. 1971 Peace Calendar. Cinema posters.

A journey round my skull was named after Karinthy Frigyes's novel. Somehow different but no less valuable collection. Book covers (German, Polish, Slovakian, Turkish but also Japanese or Indian and even Psychedelic:p). And I'll pretend again to having heard about all of these artists (you notice the fact that I heard about SOME of them at least): Walter Schnackenberg, Rokuro Taniuki, Takeo Takei, Rilla Alexander, Joan Kiddell, Harry Clarke or Charles Selliger. A large quality collection. See also the blog.

Vintage wallpapers anyone? Inside and outside houses illustrations. Some textile patterns too. At American Vintage Home.

That's it: ten vintage illustrations accounts and a texture one. But if you're greedy and always ask for more, make your own search. Just go to each Profile and check Contacts and Favorites. You know about Birds of same Feather... And if you find more interesting things - for sure you will - maybe you'll care to share here too. See ya!!
